Rooted In Justice: a Town Hall For Mayoral Candidates

Southwest Workers Union, along with Public Citizen, Deceleration News, Move, and many other environmental justice orgs will host a town hall for mayoral candidates in the San Antonio 2025 municipal election. This event will happen on Friday, April 11th from 6-8pm at The Little Carver (226 N Hackberry). Environmental Justice, climate change, extreme weather events, emissions mitigation plans, and more are such important topics and we want to hear what the mayoral candidates have to say. San Antonio’s next mayor will be a brand new mayor and will serve for four years (increased from two thanks to Prop C passing in 2024). We have to come together to show the next mayor that Environmental Justice is a big issue that must be taken seriously.

If your organization would like to join us and co-sponsor the event, please fill out this form and send your organization’s logo so we can add it to our flier.

If you would like to attend the town hall, you can RSVP here. This will be a free and nonpartisan event open to the public. There will also be time set aside for questions from the audience.
