Trans & Queer Clothing Swap

One of SWU’s last events of 2019 was co-hosting a member lead Trans and Queer clothing swap. The event was lead by Kai Ramey (he/they), activist, creator of No Whites Allowed Zine and a Climate Justice and Just Transition delegate. Kai along with Swu members and other community folks filled more than 8 tables with clothing for the swap and more than 30 people came through, some donating clothing and makeup and others swapping stuff around. It was a complete heart-warming event seeing so many trans and queer folks creating alternative economies together. The clothing that was left over is being saved for the next clothing swap and some winter wear was donated. Stay connected with SWU to learn more about our next clothing swap.
