Early Voting October 22 to November 2nd

Today is the first day of early voting for the Mid-Term Elections!! Here are some resources to make your voting experience much simpler. SWU is also providing rides to the polls for early voting, within 3 miles of the SWU office. Call us at 210.299.2666 ext. 109 to sign up or volunteer.

Monday, Oct. 22 to Friday, Oct. 26.................................8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Saturday Oct. 27, 2018....................................................8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Sunday Oct. 28, 2018...................................................12 noon to 6 p.m.

Monday Oct. 29, to Friday, Nov. 2 ..................................8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Lunes 22 de octubre hasta el viernes 26 de octubre.........8 a.m. a 6 p.m.

Sabado 27 de octubre de 2018.............................................8 a.m. a 8 p.m.

What to Bring

You need to bring one of the following seven forms of identification:

  • Texas driver's license issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety

  • Texas election identification certificate issued by DPS

  • Texas personal ID card issued by DPS

  • Texas handgun license issued by DPS

  • U.S. military ID card with your photo

  • U.S. citizenship certificate with your photo

  • U.S. passport (book or card)

If you don't have a photo ID, and cannot reasonably obtain one, you can bring:

  • A copy or original of a government document that shows your name and an address, including your voter registration certificate

  • A copy of or original current utility bill

  • A copy of or original bank statement

  • A copy of or original government check

  • A copy of or original paycheck

  • A copy of or original of (a) a certified domestic (from a U.S. state or territory) birth certificate or (b) a document confirming birth admissible in a court of law which establishes your identity, which may include a foreign birth document

Vote by Mail

- Last day to apply for a ballot by mail — received, not postmarked — is Friday, October 26.

- Last day to receive a ballot by mail is Election Day, at 7 p.m.

Ride to the Polls

SWU is providing rides to the polls for early voting, within 3 miles of the SWU office. Call us at 210.299.2666 ext. 109 to sign up or volunteer. Find us on Social Media @swujustice

VIA Bus is also offering free rides on Election Day. You just need to show your voter registration card. Lyft and Uber are also offering discounted rate on Election Day, November 6th. See their app for more information.
