círculo De la Abuela May-July 2024

May: We participated in the Fuerza Unida garage sale. We continued with the paper embroidery class and making an exhibition of the embroidery that we learned as a result of the past meetings we had as a group.

On Mother's Day we decided to have a small celebration for the ladies in the group.

On SWU's 36th anniversary, the ladies put into practice the embroidery techniques we learned at previous meetings, including paper embroidery. They embroidered posters with the logo of the domestic workers and SWU. People who belong to the SWU membership also helped and learned how to do embroidery.

June: On this occasion, one of the ladies, Vanessa, proposed putting into practice various embroidery techniques, for example, traditional embroidery, fabric painting, and burlap embroidery.

From this proposal, the idea arose of using these techniques on t-shirts with the logo of domestic workers with a personal touch.

July: At this event, Circulo de Abuela wanted to support the event to support Palestine by making some embroidered pins and also teaching attendees how to make these embroidered pins.
