A beautiful weekend of community engagement at swu

This past weekend we had another Community Day where we passed out 125 bags of fresh produce to our community members. We also had a free clothing distribution and open house to show off our new trailer built by M2J Construction. We had many great conversations with community members about improvements they’d like to make in their neighborhoods. Many people spoke about wanting speed bumps in their neighborhoods and more free or low cost spay and neuter services to deal with the stray animals.

On Sunday we moved to Galeria EVA and partnered with Los MENtirosos to host a Get Out The Vote celebration with a drag show and loteria. We had 40 people come celebrate with us and we were able to give out another 25 bags of fresh produce.
